This photoshoot revels in the excess of youth and grants permission to be deliciously juvenile. By remaining in the land of glitter, fuschia, and pastels the wardrobe evokes the nostalgia for girlhood and calls on icons such as Lisa Frank and Hello Kitty. Throughout the collection of photos we witness a blooming into oneself, emerging from the ashes of our childhood bedrooms. This was the brainchild of my own personal style and dedication to celebrating the hyperfemme. I have given into the urge to embody every fabulous and flashy cartoon character that I admired growing up. Simultaneously, this shoot gave a spotlight to the joy of unrestrained sexuality and of allowing femininity to lust after itself. Demanding, provocative and a ton of fun, this project is meant to unravel our conceptions of girlhood and allow it to run wild.
